Painful Periods or Dysmenorrhea
The most common cause for Dysmenorrhea is Endometriosis, Adenomyosis or Pelvic Adhesions that can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Treatment would depend upon the cause. Endometriosis can be treated by medication including hormonal contraceptive and also surgically by removal and/or burning through laparoscopy. Pelvic adhesions can be treated by removal of dense adhesions.
